Villa description
Villa Taino and its beautiful tropical grounds have been lovingly created and nurtured by its artistic owners to give an air of peace and calm. The views possibly steal the show but anyone can appreciate the time and care taken to collect the unusual and interesting artifacts and antiques that adorn every curve and corner of this elegant villa. While it has a tasteful Caribbean flair, Villa Taino also has a sumptuous comfort thanks to the beautiful, rich wood furniture and bold use of colour in the furnishings. The bedrooms are private and tranquil while the living areas are spacious, comfortable open spaces that flow into each other, making for an easy-going atmosphere whether you are friends or a family. Its commanding position on a ridge mean that Villa Taino is able to take advantage of the trade winds that wrap around the hillside. The villa has a large driveway where a wooden gate bids you to enter. Inside the gate, the stunning pool and deck just beg for a good book and a cocktail, while admiring the elegant sailing yachts or sleek power boats out on the ocean in front of you. The main living area is on the porch next to the pool and consists of sumptuously cushioned oversize furniture and various seating arrangements, beneath a high, shingled, circular roof. The kitchen is well equipped and has a large arched opening to the formal dining room, which makes preparing dinner and laying the marble-top table for 6, easy and enjoyable. Off the dining room is a separate porch with a Weber gas BBW and a teak table for alfresco dining. Also accessed from the dining room is the library, a quiet area to watch TV, play games or listen to music. From the hallway, winding stairs lead up to the twin bedroom and a queen bedroom. Both of these bedrooms have large en-suite bathrooms. Located in a separate pavilion off the pool deck is the master suite, a large airy bedroom with romantic four-poster bed, which enjoys breathtaking ocean views. All bedrooms have screened windows, mosquito netting over the beds and ceiling fans. |

Trudi's personal opinion If you're looking for a really relaxing vacation, in which you can spend time in and around the superb infinity pool, and be utterly mesmerized by the captivating ocean views, then Villa Taino could be the perfect choice for you. This property is truly enchanting; there is really no other single word to describe it. The deeply cushioned sofas and chairs, especially on the covered deck, are extraordinarily comfortable – you just sink in to them, and immediately feel yourself beginning to relax and unwind. The house is decorated with tasteful and calming original artwork throughout. In fact, the villa is so peaceful and welcoming that I doubt you would want to venture too far – and you certainly wouldn’t have to if you didn’t want to. But that doesn’t mean you would feel isolated. The property is situated high on a hillside to take advantage of both the views and the cooling breezes, but the beaches at Long Bay and Smuggler's Cove are no more than a five- or 10-minute drive away. The house is so thoughtfully designed, too. There’s plenty of space between the bedrooms, providing privacy for all, but situating the queen and twin-bed room in the same main pavilion gives reassurance for parents and their children alike. I would go as far as to suggest that it’s one of the most relaxing properties I’ve seen recently. Just perfect! |

| All villa rental rates are quoted for 7 nights unless otherwise stated and are based on two persons per bedroom.
A minimum of 7 nights is required during high season and 5 nights during low season for the majority of villas. A 10-14 night minimum is required during Christmas/New Year depending on the villa. The weekly villa rental rates listed do not include 7% Government Tax. Information about specific villa rentals listed on this website is subject to change at any time. |
