Yes we are home. We had an incredible time that would not have been possible without you. Thank you so much for your quick responses & helping to make our trip happen. We fell in love with Tara. What a wonderful place to call “home away from home”. Absolutely breathtaking views!!!! It was all almost too much for your eyes to take in. We could barely leave our villa to go & explore the Island because it was just so enjoyable being there. The master outdoor shower was unbelievable, as well as the master bedroom pavilion. The pool, floating in the pool & seeing the views. So beautiful. The villa exceeded our expectations and we'd definitely recommend it to others. And we very much enjoyed Rolex!!!! [Tara's friendly cat]. He was a delight & we are dog lovers.
We were very satisfied with Best of BVI - absolutely fantastic... Trudi King is our hero, she is awesome. [The on-island manager], Lynn, was excellent, a pleasure to meet & work with as was Madeline [housekeeper] who was so nice & easy going, also a pleasure to meet.

It was perfect. We knew that the house was beautiful. The views were unforgettable and, best of all, there were absolutely no surprises. It was exactly what we were expecting. The only recommendations that I have for the property: an ice machine… it's hot, and you want cold drinks... an ice maker would be a nice little luxury to have readily available. Better bed nets would make sleeping more comfortable when the bugs get a little out of hand.
The on-island manager was The best of the best. Barry and his daughter took us on a great tour of the surrounding islands which was lovely. Lynn checked in on us to make sure everything was okay (which of course it was) and we felt very much taken care of. Madlen, the housekeeper was the BEST! She brought fresh flowers each time she cleaned - so friendly, and sweet and thorough.
The service that we received from Trudi and from our on-island contacts was flawless. Best of BVI (and Trudi in particular) were available to answer our questions 24/7. Everything was meticulously handled, and Trudi was amazing with follow up.
Would we recommend the villa to others? ABSOLUTELY!! and we'll be back.

We would rate the villa 7/10. Yes, very well-equipped except for the fact that the hot tub was broken and had been for several months. Another guest had written in the "guest book" back in March that they were disappointed to not be able to use it during their stay as it was broken and awaiting replacement. Since we based our decision on which villa to choose on amenities like the hot tub, since the other villas we were considering did not have one, it would have been nice to know ahead of time. The manager said it still worked but had no heat but it looked like it had not been used in some time and was not clean. I do understand that it takes a while to replace things on the islands, and Lynn had told us that the new one was supposed to have come in last week but they were going to deliver it and put in the garage since they knew we would not want them installing it while we were there. It was not delivered while we were there as far as I know. The stereo system is very nice, plenty of good quality towels, the kitchen is completely stocked with anything you could think of - there are plenty of bathrooms, office, laundry facilities, etc.
The pool area and outdoor patios were wonderful. Ceiling fans great and necessary. Bed was comfortable. The master bedroom does not have glass in the doors, only a screen in the front door and then big wooden doors that must remain closed if running the air conditioning. It was really dark in the bedroom and would have been nice to see the beautiful view in the morning. The other master type bedroom did have glass in the doors but it had an outdoor toilet, which with so many bugs was not very comfortable to use in the middle of the night. The outdoor showers are great, but not the entire bathroom being outdoors.
The villa is very nicely laid out. The many balconies and outdoor seating areas are wonderful along with the pool/patio area. Views are very dramatic and pretty, although it is too bad there are those power lines running down the left-side. Villa has lots of character.
We had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed staying at Tara. With any villa, we do all have our own personal preferences and of course always hope for "perfection" in the one we choose! We were expecting luxury but it was more "really nice with a touch of rustic." The location was great, views beautiful, landscaping nice - beautiful flowers - we loved the spaciousness of the place with the balconies, patios and outdoor seating areas. Loved the good-sized pool and outdoor shower. Tiles everywhere was nice and like new. Furnishings were decent - loved all the art and decor. Closed up and dark in the bedroom was ok for sleeping but disappointing and not what was expected. We could have used the other bedroom (it was very nice) and would have if not for that outdoor buggy bathroom (toilet area)... I forgot to mention Rolex, the cat. We don't have cats or even necessarily like them - except we liked Rolex - he is a really good cat and we actually enjoyed having him around.

We had such a wonderful time on Tortola. It is amazing how much time has gone by since we were last there, 18 years, but not much has changed, which says quite a bit about the island. Tara was great!! It met and surpassed all of our expectations. Lynn was great and helpful. Could not have asked for anything more. Madeline was superb. Never saw a house in the BVI so clean.
I was extremely happy with the quality of service and response times etc. Trudi is quite impressive and I would use her again in a heartbeat. I would also highly recommend her.
