Villa Description
Jacaranda is situated on Frenchmans Cay within exclusive gated Dolphin Estate near Tortola's Soper's Hole Wharf & Marina. This stylish four-bedroom home is set within beautiful landscaping of mature trees, tropical flowering plants and where serpentine garden paths lead to many hidden corners within the grounds. Jacaranda's main level will take your breath away. As you enter the spacious Great Room, wide French doors open to the covered, breezy verandahs on the southern side of the villa with cushioned Adirondack chairs, comfortable loungers, a dining table and hammock. One side of the verandah overlooks the USVI of St John and other outlying islands as well as long-distance ocean views of the Sir Francis Drake Channel where yachts sail effortlessly by. The swimming pool is on the other side of the verandah. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with top quality cookware and utensils, and an alfresco dining area on the verandah. A meandering path from the pool brings you to a further dining area with gas BBQ. A tiled staircase leads to Jacaranda's lower level and to three air-conditioned bedroom suites. Each suite is uniquely decorated with unusual beds and original artwork. French doors open out from each bedroom suite to a covered verandah with cushioned chairs and sea views. Below, via exterior steps, is Jacaranda's self-contained fourth air-conditioned bedroom/bath suite, a smaller, very private bedroom with outdoor shower and a private patio. This villa has been lovingly renovated and is positioned within beautiful landscaping, enhanced by stone walkways, mature trees and a wide variety of vibrant tropical plants and flowers.

In my opinion, Jacaranda ticks all the boxes. This gorgeous villa has everything I look for in a vacation rental property, from excellent ocean views to good-quality furnishings, and most importantly, the perfect ambience for a vacation of rest and relaxation. As soon as you enter the property you feel all the stresses and strains of modern-day life lift and you know your time at Jacaranda will be exceptional. The villa is extremely spacious with two dining areas, one on the verandah overlooking the ocean and the USVI of St John, and the other in the garden alcove close to the pool. The bedrooms are unique; every bedroom suite is different and unusual in design. Many pieces of original sculpture and art decorate the villa creating a homely atmosphere. Jacaranda is conveniently located within walking distance of Soper's Hole for a small selection of shops and restaurants on the water's edge and only 10-15 mins' scenic drive from the pristine beaches on the north coast. I cannot recommend this villa enough, probably my favourite on Tortola.

    • Jacaranda's housekeeper is also a talented cook. She is available at an additional cost to cook you dinner on Sunday and Tuesday evenings - please enquire.
