Villa description
A long driveway, bordered by colourful bougainvillea, welcomes you to the Captain's House, a 2-bed private villa on Tortola. The villa sits majestically high up hillside with breathtaking panoramic ocean views from all corners of the property. The large private pool separates the two pavilions ensuring maximum privacy to guests. The east pavilion offers king or twin beds with outdoor shower and private balcony. On the far side of the pool, a shady loggia provides an ideal area for alfresco dining and relaxation and leads into the main pavilion. The living room, with tropical casual furnishings, is located adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher. The master king bedroom suite beyond the living room also boasts an outdoor shower with sea views and private balcony. Impressive 16' cathedral ceilings in the bedrooms and living room keep the villa well ventilated and comfortable, complimented by cooling tradewinds. Captain's House is a popular and romantic retreat. |

Trudi's personal opinion Close to the idyllic beaches at Smuggler's Cove and Long Bay and just over the hill from Soper's Hole, Captain's House is an extremely private vacation villa for up to 4 guests. The property is well designed with bedrooms in separate pavilions on either side of the pool. There are many features I especially liked about the Captain's House - the large pool and spacious sundeck, the shady loggia and the beautiful grounds with mature tropical flowering plants. But the villa's greatest asset is the long-sweeping, magnificent views from every corner of this villa. Extremely good value for money, the Captain's House is an excellent choice for guests seeking a romantic and relaxing vacation. |

Reviews of Captain's House What can we say about "The Captain's House"? Wonderful, Fabulous? Nothing we say can express how much we enjoyed our visit there. This was our 21st visit to Tortola, as well as our 25th anniversary. From the moment we opened the garden gate that leads to the house we were spell-bound. There is no way to describe the view - you just have to see it for yourself. The villa was equipped with everything we needed, and more. The beds (which are always a concern) were perfect. Something that we would like to pass on to future guests, there is no A/C, and guess what? You do NOT need it. We actually slept under a blanket every night. There is always a cooling breeze, as the villa is high enough to catch them. Sam, JC and Janet were wonderful and always willing to help in any way. After 20 trips to the BVI, this was definitely "the best". Sometimes photos do not show the real character (or lack of) but what you see on the web-site is what you get. We hope to return soon. | All villa rental rates are quoted for 7 nights unless otherwise stated and are based on two persons per bedroom.
A minimum of 7 nights is required during high season and 5 nights during low season for the majority of villas. A 10-14 night minimum is required during Christmas/New Year depending on the villa. The weekly villa rental rates listed do not include 7% Government Tax. Information about specific villa rentals listed on this website is subject to change at any time. |
