Villa description
Situated on the beautiful north-east coast of Tortola, just a short and easy walk from the wonderfully deserted beach at Little Bay, Anatola offers spacious and supremely comfortable accommodation for up to eight guests in four sumptuous bedrooms. The villa, brand-new for 2010, has a generous living area and two bedrooms on the upper storey, and a further two bedrooms on the level below that.

Anatola’s main entrance is reached via a short flight of steps. Immediately beyond the heavy wooden front doors is the impressive Great Room, with its dramatically high cathedral-style ceiling. Within the Great Room is the main living area, with comfortable and modern sofas and chairs, and to the rear a well-equipped kitchen with stainless-steel appliances and a breakfast bar. There is also a formal dining area with an attractive hardwood table and carved wooden chairs. A convenient WC with an eye-catching washbasin in a beautifully smooth and tactile wood completes this truly relaxing space. From the Great Room, large doors fold back completely to entice guests toward the deep, half-moon balcony. This area, too, offers plenty of space for relaxing and alfresco dining, while at the same time taking in the beautiful views of both the turquoise Caribbean, and the lush, green hillside to the left side of the property.

Anatola is finished to an extremely high standard throughout, and subtly and tastefully enhanced with some interesting original artwork and sculpture. On the upper level, two bedrooms flank the Great Room. To one side, through a wide arched doorway, is the comfortably furnished master bedroom and its unusual feature wall in natural stone. Here, too, the patio doors open fully to a balcony with thickly cushioned chaises lounges, and surrounded by mature planting – it feels not unlike being in a jungle. To the rear of this bedroom is a beautifully designed en suite bathroom with a large shower area, easily big enough for two to share should they wish. The second bedroom, with its own balcony, is on the other side of the Great Room, this layout affording privacy for all. This bedroom is decorated in relaxing blues, and has a romantic four-poster bed draped with voile wafting in the welcome ocean breeze. An en suite bathroom and walk-in closet complete this delightful room.

Exterior steps lead down to the third and fourth bedrooms, both of which share a balcony running the width of the building. The third bedroom is of an excellent size, and has its own living area with sofas, TV, and a well-equipped kitchenette with full-size fridge/freezer and electric stove, ideal for preparing breakfasts and light meals. The fourth bedroom, with a four-poster bed in an attractive dark wood, is adjacent; these two bedrooms share a bathroom.

Trudi's personal opinion
Furnished largely in beautiful dark wood, and decorated in warm and relaxing colours, Anatola is an attractive villa suitable for guests seeking the peace and quiet of a vacation in a luxury property in the BVI. There are very few four-bedroom villas on Tortola so close to the shore, so Anatola, new this year, is a great choice for either couples or an extended family who enjoy beach vacations. Just a short walk brings you to the usually deserted white sand and turquoise seas at Little Bay – or venture just a little further afield, and you have a number of other beaches within a 10-minute drive to explore: Long Bay, Josiah's Bay and Well Bay, to name just three. The villa is beautifully designed using excellent-quality furnishings and delightful artwork throughout, providing a comfortable environment for a genuinely memorable vacation in the BVI.

Reviews of Anatola
Delightful villa close to deserted beach. Suitable for 2 families, with children sharing downstairs accommodation. The accommodation is not suitable for 4 couples as downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom which is accessed via one of the bedrooms. The on-island manager was very good, she attended to a shower problem in a timely manner.

A minimum of 7 nights is required during high season and 5 nights during low season for the majority of villas. A 10-14 night minimum is required during Christmas/New Year depending on the villa.
