Driving in the British Virgin Islands (BVI)
• Driving is on the left throughout the BVI
• Vehicles are left hand drive
• Seatbelts must be worn at all times
• The roads can be extremely steep with sharp bends/switchbacks
• Roads may be unpaved with potholes, especially in residential areas
• There are numerous speed bumps in the BVI, some marked better than others
• Use your horn to make your presence known when approaching a blind corner
• Please be aware some drivers, with no advance warning, may stop in the middle of the road to pick-up/drop off passengers
• Please drive carefully at all times especially if the roads are wet |
