  PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS:
  At present, North American citizens can enter the British Virgin Islands with an original birth certificate accompanied by a valid photo ID such as a driver's license, although a valid passport is preferred. It is strongly recommended that you check the entry/exit requirements before travelling.

European citizens require a valid passport to enter the British Virgin Islands with proof of a return or onward ticket. Visitors from some countries may require a visa - if in doubt please check with your nearest BVI Tourist Board. If you are travelling to the BVI via the United States of America you will need to be in possession of a MACHINE-READABLE PASSPORT.
