Villa description
Spyglass Villa commands a 225-degree view of the ocean and islands surrounding the North Sound on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands and enjoys the cooling, tropical tradewinds 12 months of the year. Spyglass Villa's panoramic terrace is perched fifty feet above Leverick Bay overlooking North Sound, only a few minutes' to a private beach and Leverick Bay Resort. The spectacular pool affords a panoramic view of the entire North Sound including the eight restaurants located within resorts surrounding the Sound, accessible by scheduled ferry boats. The spacious Great Room in Spyglass Villa includes a surround seating area in the Living Room section, including cable TV and CD stereo. The elegant formal dining area within the Great Room includes a glass table with seating for six and affords the same spectacular views. Spyglass Villa's complete gourmet kitchen is defined by a natural stone wet bar and includes a full refrigerator/freezer with in-door ice and water, gas stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker and a propane gas grill on the deck. Either side of the Great Room are two private air-conditioned bedrooms on the main level, each with en-suite facilities. The East bedroom includes a king-size bed, desk and chair and overlooks the East side of North Sound from its covered patio. For guests desiring a third bedroom, the Spyglass Villa apartment, with its own private entrance and efficiency kitchen, is available on the lower level, affording views of North Sound from the living room and private deck. |

Trudi's personal opinion Spyglass Villa offers the best of both worlds - a private property with panoramic ocean views over the North Sound that will literally take your breath away, yet within easy walking distance of the beach and amenities at Leverick Bay. This beautiful villa is well positioned to receive cooling tradewinds year round and offers comfortable, spacious accommodation for up to 6 guests. Spyglass Villa is ideal for couples and families alike and enjoys the benefit of a self-contained lower apartment for added privacy. I felt instantly at home when I walked through the door at Spyglass Villa and the spectacular ocean views pulled me towards the verandah. The sheer beauty of the ocean and outlying islands that lay before me was mesmerizing. I especially liked the design of the pool and also the well-kept gardens with colourful tropical plants and palms. I found Spyglass Villa to be extremely well maintained and immaculate throughout and absolutely perfect for a relaxing vacation with friends or family. Leverick Bay, within a few minutes walk down the hill, offers many amenities to guests including restaurants, shops, watersports and spa services but Virgin Gorda is so small that you can drive from one end of the island to the other in less than 30 mins. Rent a jeep and enjoy not only the beauty of this wonderful island but also the friendliness of the people you will encounter along the way. |

Reviews of Spyglass Villa I just want to let you know that my wife Kathryn and I had a wonderful time at Spyglass Villa and to thank you for all of your help in making the arrangements. We didn't make the earlier ferry but were still met and escorted up to the villa after picking up the car. We took care of all of the paperwork the next morning since the office was closed when we arrived. All very easy! Spyglass is great! The interior spaces are very nice and roomy and the exterior decks and views are spectacular. We spent a lot of time on the deck outside of the great room. The grocery order had been delivered when we arrived and all was accurate. We probably won't do that again given the proximity and large select at the Chef's Pantry market in Leverick Bay and the other stores on the island. One other note - I had brought a cable that I might have been able to use to connect our iPod to the CD player and when I went to hook it up, I discovered a cable already there so we just plugged in our iPod and enjoyed the music. As you may remember, this was our first villa experience in the BVI after many resort stays. We will definitely do a villa again! SH, Dec 2010 |
